First Aid training packs
for Chartered Institute of Environmental Health
This was the CIEH’s first venture into first aid, so all training materials needed developing. They asked Red Stone to start with First Aid in the workplace, followed by Paediatric First Aid and Paediatric Illness and Injury. The info is intended for first aiders in companies, teachers and playgroup supervisors.
Approach
It’s too easy to have a rusty first-aid course under your belt, and still not know where to turn when someone needs help. Our approach to these training manuals was to commission instructive photography with the help of a first aid expert and make-up artist. We directed shoots for all three training packs, and published a very easy-to-follow set of instructions for any emergency. Our illustrator, Ned, created some great illustrations to support a sensitive subject, with the paediatric first aid books featuring some of his best work for the CIEH.
Outcome
The series continues to expand with training packs planned in environmental protection.
